Starting Friday, October 24, Collaborative Visions is offering an out-of-school program focused on storytelling through film. Presented in conjunction with Film Prize Jr, a state-wide student film festival, the program is open to all Mora county students, including homeschoolers, in grades 5 to 12.

We’ll spend the next four months exploring all the basics of filmmaking – scriptwriting, planning a documentary, scheduling, lighting, sound, and editing. Students write, shoot, and finish a short film. We’ll enter up to four films in the statewide Film Prize NM Junior Film Festival.
Action!
Our four films will be shown publicly at the festival held March 20 & 21, 2026 at the Albuquerque Convention Center and shown during the Virtual Festival online, March 26 to April 2, 2026.
