Culture, community, and ecology are entwined. The health of one cannot be sustained without being attentive to the health of the other. To this end, we are increasingly moving beyond a focus on community and culture to consider how to sustain the environmental integrity of our region. This is especially significant in this era of environmental change were New Mexico is predicted to get warmer and drier. Meaning it is essential to actively restore our watershed to sustain hydro-logic function in the face of harsher environmental conditions.
